Triple room with common bathroom, had essentials required. This hotel had a very central position near a smaller train station.

We had an amazing and authentic room equipped with smoke detectors. the large bathroom included a hairdryer and slippers. - the location was fantastic, just a short walk to the train station, Matsumoto Castle, and public transport, making it convenient to explore the city center and nearby attractions.

I had breakfast in the bar and everything was great! The room was spotless and authentic, included central heating and a private safe. Giminzuka was next door to the hotel, appreciated its location very close to a good bakery for breakfast.

The room was really spacious, with its own bathrooms and comfy futon beds. 🛌 the location is great, with a train station close by. Plus, you have a bakery and stores nearby for convenience.

I only intended to pass through, but after finding Tabi Shiro three days ago, I am still here! This incredible lodging and lounge is clean, comfortable, and has a great bar. The beds are the most comfortable I've found in Japan, and the common space is inviting. The owner and staff are welcoming, and they provide a custom map of the city. Bikes are available to rent, and you even get a free drink at check-in. Tabi Shiro has been the highlight of my trip!

I had a truly exceptional stay at this cozy hostel. They even navigated local websites and used their local knowledge to assist us. the hostel itself is hip and cozy, with all the amenities you need and more. the women's bathroom had sanitary products and face moisturizers, a thoughtful touch. Renting bikes at a fair price was a great way to explore Matsumoto. the map provided with suggestions was the best I've ever had, with clear information and great recommendations, especially for food. the staff was always welcoming and made us feel like part of the family. the bar was a great place to relax and chat. the showers were clean and the toast for breakfast, particularly the one with Matsumoto's honey, was a must-try.

If you're in Matsumoto, choosing this hostel is a great decision. Cons: Nothing could have been better.

Best Xmas experience! Cosy communal area with woodburning stove, perfect for chatting and planning trips. the traditional Japanese room was comfortable and had fluffy and warm duvets. Convenient location close to cafes, restaurants, and bakeries.

Worst part was the limited bathroom facilities. Only one shower and two toilets for the whole floor, with the women's shower on a different floor.
